For this project, I created the complete site design, which was approved enthusiastically by the client without edits. I was then responsible for complete coding and integration of the site into WordPress. I gave the client a few training tutorials on how to use WordPress himself and maintain his blog. Highlights of the project are a large database plug-in for members, complete customization for WordPress, and one-on-one WordPress training.

This was the second project I created for this client. I wasn't originally charged with the responsibility of creating the design on this one, but the studio was having trouble coming up with one that he liked, so I gave it a shot. Again, he loved it immediately. (sweet!) I used HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to integrate the customized design into a WordPress back-end. The client and I had already gone through one-on-one training sessions on how he could use WordPress to quickly update his news, blog, and site highlights, so he was excited to stay on the WordPress train with me.

This was an interesting website to design because I was asked to make it creative and unique, but still extremely professional and legitimate. It was a tough balance. Another big challenge was integrating a huge amount of patient education information into a clean, usable format. I ultimately had a great time designing and coding this site, and working with the Office Managers at The Spine Clinic of Monterey Bay. I hope I’ll never need spine health care, but if I do, I know where to go!

Can I just say that I LOVE working with this client?! What they do is so unique and fun. I also get to experiment and learn a lot working with them. We recently did a complete site redesign to keep their web presence congruent with their recent album and musical image. Highlights for me were implementing special “Click to expand content” JavaScript code, creating a complete new web design, which is always really fun, and creating a fully-functional photo gallery with a cool effect called Light Box.
I’m also working with “JSM” on their Social Media and SEO Optimization, which is new for me professionally. I’ve learned a lot already, and am looking forward to expanding my knowledge and really helping the band take off in popularity!

This website was a challenge because we integrated a custom design into a Volusion Shopping Cart back end. There are a lot of shopping cart options out there, but I have gone with Volusion twice now, and really appreciate their customization options and customer service. The design you see was created by Bob Von Elgg, Creative Director of BigFish SmallPond Design. As is usual when we work together, he creates the design, and I am responsible for coding magic!
Highlights are rotating image on homepage, full integration into a Volusion Shopping Cart, crash-tutorial from Bob on image optimization and generally making photos look really good, and working with Sweets in the Nude… great people.

This website was a strong challenge because of the complex customization required in the Volusion Shopping Cart. I worked intensively with Volusion staff and support to perfect size/price options, shipping weights, and special discounts throughout the hundreds of purchasing options available on the site. Luckily, working with Pam, Jill, and the staff was really enjoyable, and we were able to laugh through the craziest deadlines. Website design was created by Pamela Hunter.

IDE was a fun site to work on. My responsibilities in this project were completely coding a design created by Bob Von Elgg, creating a special rotating homepage that would stop when you clicked the “back” or “forward” buttons, coding a drop-down menu with a special transparent background, creating a PHP custom contact form with JavaScript error warning features, and transferring a copious amount of information.

This is a volunteer project that Judi Oyama, Creative Director of Maximum Impact Design, and I created for fundraising efforts for the Capitola Skate Park. She created a simple Photoshop file for the design, and I coded the website and implemented it into WordPress under a very strict deadline. As fellow skateboarders, we are excited and hopeful for a new Skate Park in Capitola!

Intelligent House Design began with a simple, clean web design created by Bob Von Elgg. I coded the site and implemented a rotating homepage image. The highlight for me was working with Bob on a very tight deadline, and working together strongly to achieve that deadline without stress.

This website was my first experience with Drupal integration. I was asked to create a design that would represent the Community Agroecology Network accurately. After several revisions, developer Guy Oron and I worked together to integrate the design into the Drupal back-end. I had already worked with WordPress integration at this point, so I was luckily able to catch on fast. He was really patient with me too, and showed me a lot of things about Drupal. It really is amazing software, and I plan to use it for the larger sites I work on in the future.

I created a few web banners and an ebay image header for Pacific Wave. It was a lot of fun.
