Hi, I’m Angela.
16 years of experience in the field of Design, ranging from UX, Digital Product, Graphic, Illustration, Research, Strategy, and Workshop Facilitation.
Chicago-based. California-raised.
Passionate about the value of creativity and play. My greatest asset is listening and asking why.
Began my career with paint pens on skateboards, have since provided strategy consultation to the Fortune 500. A series of major plot twists.
Human beings are made up of more cells than there are galaxies in the known universe. Each one of us our own universe. We form other universes; families, communities, industries, and countries; which have complex systems and challenges just like our body ecosystems. We are problem-solving beings, unfolding desirable solutions into possible futures.

Planned and facilitated client workshops that established alignment, direction, and strategy for fast-moving product teams
Conducted user research and developed a method of data synthesis that set a new standard for internal teams
Created product designs for complex industry applications and worked with Engineering teams through the finish line to ensure impeccable implementation
SENIOR UI DESIGNER

I led the Design System team in establishing a visual vocabulary for Zoro.com, architected and facilitated federated governance for the Design System across product teams, facilitated cross-functional workshops using IDEO and Luma methodologies, collaborated with data scientists to strategize better user experiences and confirmed their efficacy, and designed flows, wireframes, interfaces, and prototypes.
Proposed a design system to Senior Leadership, and won approval by communicating expected outcomes, KPIs, a clear roadmap, and estimated ROIs
Provided mentorship and oversaw and generated work for three fellow UI Designers
Designed a product compatibility tool that resulted in a steadily growing increase in purchase rates for automotive products on Zoro.com
SENIOR UX/UI DESIGNER
Snapsheet, 2018 – 2020
I collaborated with Designers, Engineers, and Product Managers to develop solutions for the insurance claims process. I conducted user research to find needs and pain points, designed wireframes, reviewed them with teams, evolved them into UI, consulted with Developers in the build-out, and conducted usability tests. The tools used were Sketch, Figma, InVision, Abstract, and Lucid Chart.
CREATIVE DIRECTOR
Angela Stucky Creative Design, 2015 – 2018
I assembled a nimble team of creative professionals to provide a range of marketing design services. We created brand and identity systems, websites, illustrations, poster art, and print materials. We worked closely with our clients, using design thinking, to understand the who, what, why, and how of their most important design problems.
GRAPHIC & WEB DESIGNER / FRONT-END DEV
BvE Creative & Maximum Impact Design, 2008 – 2014
I created graphic design for packaging, apparel, and print, websites, and assisted in on-location product photoshoots and event display installations. Tools used were front-end development (HTML/CSS/JS/PHP), CMS build-out using such platforms as WordPress and Shopify, Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, freehand illustration, and project management.

I was “member zero” of the Chicago Graphic Design Club and co-authored the original vision and mission statement. I led brainstorming, communications, and event planning, and facilitated public discussions, workshops, and events.
ART TEACHER
Fundación Comunitaria del Bajío, 2015
I committed to a six-month immersive program as one of two teachers in the rural highlands of Guanajuato, Mexico, teaching Artistic Self Expression through Bookmaking Arts to youth aged 9-15. The project entailed the start-to-finish creation of custom art diaries, and included poetry lessons, drawing lessons, mentorship that certainly made me a better person, and team-building activities, taught entirely in Spanish. The six months were completed with approximately 180 books created in three communities.
